Stunningly beautiful, Norwegian Wood exists as an elegy to the cinematic style of old, which also successfully fuses Murakami's masterful use of written word into the visual medium of film. Strong, yet reserved, performances and the reflective, melancholic pace fit perfectly into a film that is, quite simply, incredible.
